Launch of New Products Review on Plantbased Business Hour

New Products Review: A Special Series on
The Plantbased Business Hour

Airing Live on Tuesdays and Thursday on the JaneUnChained News Network Facebook Page and the Elysabeth Alfano LinkedIn Page at 1PM PT.
CHICAGO / LOS ANGELES - Beginning immediately, The PLANTBASED BUSINESS HOUR (PBH), hosted by plant-based journalist, news expert, radio host and TV Chef/Producer, Elysabeth Alfano, will launch a new weekly segment: New Products Review (NPR).  Every week on NPR on PBH, Alfano will taste, rate and review a new vegan product to let viewers know what must-have products are hitting the market.

Is it 'To-Die-For?', 'Can't-Live-Without?', 'Game-Changing?', 'For Vegans Everywhere?', 'Fake Out Your Meat-Eaters?' or 'Not Ready for Prime Time?'   Coupled with fun graphics and gifs, energy and fanfare, the new segment highlights soon-to-be-released vegan products and how to get them.

After each tasting segment, Elysabeth sits down remotely with the company's CEO to discuss the trials and tribulations of getting to market, unexpected hurdles, expected growth, their tips for entrepreneurs and investors and their predictions for the plant-based market.  Alfano ends every show with her iconic questions, "What do you wish you knew 10 years ago that you know now?", "What phrase do you rely on to get your through a bad day?", "What are your predictions for the plant-based future in the next 3-5 years?" and "What is your favorite snack?"

Upcoming featured products and CEOs are Bill Glazer, Co-Founder of Outstanding Foods with Pig Out Pork Rinds, Greg Steltenpohl, Founder of Califia Farms with their new plant-based butters, Dr. Nadja Pinnavaia of Plantable with their new line of healthy meal service entrees and Co-Founder Mitchell Scott of the recently IPO'd Canadian company, Very Good Butchers, with their line of vegan meats.  Past guests on the Plantbased Business hour have been Before the Butcher's, Danny O'Malley, Clear Current Capital Venture Fund Manager, Curt Albright, CEO of Beyond Investing, Claire Smith,  Miyoko Schinner of Miyokos Cheese and Chuck Muth of Beyond Meat.

Alfano started the Plantbased Business Hour at the onset of COVID-19. “During this time of incredible stress and worry, many people want news and insight as to how things will be different in the future so that we don’t find ourselves right back in this same position. Investors and consumers are interested in the plant-based arena as they search for healthier options, a safer food supply and the money-making future of food. The Plantbased Business Hour and my interviews on same give the leaders in this sector a platform to share their strategies and advancements in plant-based innovation with the general public, while also giving an insight into their personalities and quirks which make the businesses run."

As noted above, in addition to NPR on PBH, Elysabeth speaks with venture capitalists, CEOs, innovators, analysts, entrepreneurs, and more.  The conversations cover a myriad of topics from impact investing to the newest plant-based and cellular agriculture innovations... and now taste tests!

Plant-based business represents not only big money, but also the big solution for a healthier food supply. Meat-borne pathogens are an expensive threat to our physical, financial and mental health, as we are currently experiencing with Coronavirus.  During COVID-19, plant-based products have soared.  Accoring to Nielsen, plant-based products experienced a growth of 240% for a 13-week period ending May 30 as compared to the same period in 2019, and more investment dollars were spent in the first quarter of 2020 than all of 2019, according to the Good Food Institute.

To keep your finger on the pulse of the dynamic, money-making, plant-based business world, tune in live every Tuesday and Thursday at 1PM PT on the Jane UnChained News Network Facebook Page and The Plantbased Business Hour LinkedIn Page.  Episodes are archived on and the Plantbased Business Hour Podcast,
