We visited temples and experienced the land that created Gross National Happiness, a constitution which states that at least 60% of the country must be trees, and in which slaughterhouses are illegal. Yes, illegal. Oh, and it is the only country that is carbon negative. So what's a girl to do except go live on FB! TUNE IN!    To Know Yourself, You have To Step Away from the Madness 2018 was such an incredible year: I started Awesome Vegans Podcast on WGN Radio, #JaneUnchained and Vegan Magazine,  I launched the new Awesome Vegans website and started public speaking across the United States on the mental and physical benefits of going vegan. I brought my plant-based reporting to  WGN Radio by hosting the show Nightside and did cooking demos on TV.  But to keep all these balls in the air without going crazy, I find it is good to get away to clear the mind and stay focused. Going to the country of Bhutan was just the peaceful break I needed to recharge and reground myself for all the incredible projects that lay ahead.  I hope that you also have a space for yourself to recollect on what is important to you and to focus your energy on the projects and the people you love the most. I am ready for 2019!
