WHAT:            Noodles & Company is celebrating National Macaroni & Cheese Day by offering guests one, small, complimentary bowl of Wisconsin Mac & Cheese. Coupons will be distributed via the company’s Facebook

page. Guests must present the coupon to a Noodles Ambassador on their phones, or printed, to redeem their free bowl.

Chicago Costume Hosts Colossal Coachman Hat Scavenger Hunt + Design Contest!

 

Chicago Costume to Host 2015 Colossal Coachman Hat Design Contest and Scavenger Hunt for Chicago Chicago Costume, Chicago's number one destination for playing dress up, has partnered with headwear manufacturer and distributer elope Inc. in the first-ever Colossal Coachman Contest. Chicago Costume will join the ranks of 40 costume shops across 40 US cities, each location will submit their best hat creation to be judged, where only one winner will be crowned. Beginning July 10, 2015 potential contestants 18 years of age and older are invited to participate in a scavenger hunt to obtain the coachman hat necessary for entry. Throughout the week 12 hats will be hidden around the city, with special clues provided on Chicago Costume's social media platforms (@chicagocostume for Facebook, Twitter and Instagram). Once the hat is located participants will have until July 16th, 2015 to decorate their coachman hat however they please, the more creative and elaborate the better! On Thursday, July 16 participants and guests are invited attend the official Colossal Coachman Contest Chicago Party located at Chicago Costume's flagship location (1120 W Fullerton, Chicago IL 60614). The party will be open to the public and span from 7-9pm CST. Entrants will submit their completed creations. These designs will be judged based on the use of the elope hat style, creativity, overall effect, and crowd appeal. I spent a good part of the '70s traveling North America and Mexico with Bitch/Toughlove and that was one of the most memorable periods of my life ... Not for just the obvious reason of traveling with five beautiful women - LOL!

Nancy has been spending the last couple of decades doing corporate work including many years with Jack Kramer - horn player extraordinaire and, mainly, raising her daughter.

Everyone in and around the North Shore, PLEEZ come out to see us.  Who knows, maybe Nancy will come the next night  to the Antioch Taste of Summer  and do a few songs with The Shadows of Knight.

EVENT PROPOSALS WILL BE ACCEPTED JULY 13-24 Chicago Artists + Arts Organizations are invited to participate in Chicago Artists Month 2015, the 20th annual citywide celebration of our vibrant and diverse arts community. What is Chicago Artists Month? Chicago Artists Month (CAM) is open to individual artists and organizations producing events and programs that feature Chicago-based artists in a public venue in Chicago, between October 1 - November 15, 2015. Event categories include: Art Walk/Tour/Festival, Exhibition/Installation, Learning/Making, Open Studio and Performance/Screening. As a marketing initiative of the Chicago Department of Cultural Affairs and Special Events, CAM showcases the work of Chicago's artists and arts organizations, highlights arts activity in the city's neighborhoods, fosters tourism, encourages collaboration and provides opportunities for creative expression and education for all Chicagoans. 2015 Theme CAM invites Chicago-based artists, performers, architects, designers, writers and other creatives, as well as arts and community organizations, to respond to the theme The City as Studio - looking at Chicago as a place for innovation and experimentation. Through this theme, CAM 2015 will be in dialog with the inaugural Chicago Architecture Biennial, which is inviting architects and designers from around the world to Chicago this fall. CAM 2015 prioritizes new work, increased public access to high quality art, and collaboration.  How to Participate?
