Chelsea Handler,Bon Appetit Introduce the Belvedere Bloody Mary To Chicago!
Chelsea Handler and Bon Appetit Introduced the Belvedere Bloody Mary To Chicago! I made my first visit to the Blackstone Hotel since they completed their 10 year renovation. A special invite from Chelsea Handler inviting me,yes,*me* to a brunch with Belvedere Vodka and Bon Appetit's new editor in chief Adam Rapoport at Mercat a la Planxa in the hotel. What immediately came to mind was her previous book with the great title,'Vodka,it's Me,Chelsea' . This event was filled with the happy energy of Chicago's media and well known celebrity chefs and the great food at Mercat. It was a fun way for Belvedere Vodka to launch their new Belvedere Bloody Mary.
The menu was prepared by Executive Chef José Garces who came to town to serve up his finest four course meal to the crowd. Accompanying each course was a special cocktail created by Belvedere's Claire Smith. Belvedere President Charles Gibb introduced Chelsea to the crowd who then screamed out,' Shut up Charles' from her table .
The Belvedere Bloody Mary is made with natural ingredients and is infused with tomatoes, pepper, chili pepper, bell peppers, lemon, horseradish lemon and vinegar. It's clear liquid,so all you need to do is add your favorite tomato juice and enjoy!
Chelsea is on tour promoting her new book, 'Lies Chelsea Handler Told Me' and performed at the Chicago Theatre that night.
