We're thrilled to announce the 2019 CineYouth Opening Night presentation of Jawline!

Winner of the Sundance Special Jury Award for Emerging Filmmaker, Jawline follows 16-year-old Austyn Tester, a rising star in the live-broadcast ecosystem who built his following on wide-eyed optimism and teen girl lust, as he tries to escape a dead-end life in rural Tennessee.

Director Liza Mandelup will be in attendance for a post-screening discussion.

Featuring 64 films from 18 different countries, this year's CineYouth selection showcases the astounding talent of filmmakers 22-years-old and under in genres ranging from drama and animation to horror along with programs exploring the LGBTQ+ themes and showcasing women filmmakers.

Come celebrate CineYouth's 15th anniversary with us April 26-28, 2019 at Chicago's historic Music Box Theatre. All screenings are FREE and open to the public. Select award-winning films from CineYouth will screen at the 55th Chicago International Film Festival in October.
