BETH DITTO: "WE COULD RUN" IS OUT TODAY, LISTEN!

Pre-Order Underway For Ditto's Debut Solo Album, Fake Sugar,
Set For Release On June 16 On Virgin Records
Today, Beth Ditto gave fans another taste of her debut solo album, Fake Sugar, with the release of the track "We Could Run." The song is available for download and streaming HERE and the static video can be seen HERE. Virgin Records will release Fake Sugar on June 16. Fans who pre-order the digital album will instantly receive "We Could Run" plus the first single, "Fire," and "Oo La La."
After playing a series of European festivals, including the Montreux Jazz Festival, Ditto will kick off a North American headline tour on July 12 at U Street Music Hall in Washington, DC. The run will include two New York City dates - July 13 at the Bowery Ballroom and July 14 at Rough Trade in Brooklyn. See below for itinerary.
"Beth Ditto is a force-of-nature performer best known for fronting the pop-punk group Gossip," said NPR, which put "Fire" on its list of "10 Songs Public Radio Can't Stop Playing." Idolator hailed "Fire" as"one hell of song," PAPER called it "perfect for the summer vibes we are all craving" and Noisey said, "It's Ditto at her bluesy, garage-y best."View the official video for "Fire" HERE and check out the Disciples remix HERE.
Bust Magazine observed, "Fake Sugar is her debut album as a solo artist, but there's nothing fake about it...She embraces Southern rock on 'Fire' and "Oo La La'...belts it out on '80s-inspired power ballads 'Oh My God' and 'We Could Run,' and brings it home on the romantic 'Love in Real Life.'" Stereogum noted, "'Oo La La' plays like a updated, processed, laser-focused version of an old-school blues-rock growler. It has a synthetic sheen all over it, but the way Ditto delivers the word "bonecrusher" is about as nasty as it gets."
In addition to releasing six acclaimed albums with the Gossip, Ditto has recorded with such artists as Blondie and disco legend Cerrone, collaborated with Jean Paul Gaultier on her eponymous plus-sized luxury clothing line, modeled for Marc Jacobs and appeared in Tom Ford's Oscar-nominated film, Nocturnal Animals.
