Shakespeare’s Rowdy Comedy ‘The Taming of the Shrew’ Leaps Into
Cinemas Nationwide for One Day on November 19, as the Bolshoi Ballet in Cinema Series Continues

WHAT: The Bolshoi Ballet’s rendition of Shakespeare’s epically boisterous comedy, “The Taming of the Shrew,” screens in cinemas throughout the U.S. for one day on Sunday, November 19. Captured live from Moscow’s legendary Bolshoi Theatre, the fast-paced and witty ballet is the second production in the lineup of highly anticipated performances featured in Fathom Events’ 2017-18 Bolshoi Ballet in Cinema Series, presented in partnership with BY Experience and Pathé Live.

Created exclusively for the prestigious Bolshoi Ballet by French choreographer Jean-Christophe Maillot, the vibrant and action-packed production features some of the world’s most athletic dancers in roles made to showcase their unique strengths and personalities. Set to music by Dmitri Shostakovich, Shakespeare’s fan-favorite comedy comes to life in Bolshoi’s fiery cinema event.
