Book Club - FLOWERTALES: Every Garden Has a Story To Tell

In keeping with the theme of the next Chicago Flower & Garden Show, here are some of our favorite garden-themed books we’ve been reading:

All the Presidents’ Gardens by Marta McDowell (Timber Press)
The Wellness Garden by Shawna Coronado (

For kids:
Flip, Float, Fly: Seeds on the Move by JoAnn Early Macken and Pamela Paparone

Food, Fashion and Fabulous Fun!

The launch to the 2018 Chicago Flower & Garden Show begins on the runway. Join us on Tuesday, March 13 inside Navy Pier’s Festival Hall from 6 p.m. to 9:30 p.m. for the “Hort Couture” fashion show during our Evening in Bloom preview, benefiting our show partner, the nonprofit Bernie's Book Bank. Tickets available soon. Check here for frequent updates!

Pro Tip: Mighty Mulch

As long as you’re raking or collecting leaves this fall, make good use of them by using shredded or chopped leaves for mulch. That will protect soil and other delicate areas and provide nourishment as the material breaks down.

Meet Our Show Partner

As we turn a new page to the 2018 Chicago Flower & Garden Show, we are thrilled to work with show partner Bernie’s Book Bank, a non-profit organization whose mission is to increase book ownership among at-risk children. Bernie’s Book Bank will be featured in an enchanting garden that celebrates the rich experiences books and gardens bring to our lives. Look for author appearances and readings at the show, along with drop-off bins for book donations.

Thank You to Our 2018 Sponsors!

Return of NPL, Wintrust Bank, Subaru, PRP Wines, Country Financial, Ball Horticultural, JULIE, Peoples Gas and many more, look for exciting new partner announcements in the coming weeks and months.
