MB Financial Park at Rosemont Announces Lineup for "Rockin' in the Park" 2017 Free Summer Concert Series (Rosemont,IL.)
MB FINANCIAL PARK AT ROSEMONT ANNOUNCES LINEUP FOR “ROCKIN’ IN THE PARK” 2017 FREE SUMMER CONCERT SERIES
MB Financial Park at Rosemont (5501 Park Place,
Rosemont) will celebrate the summer season with the return of the
“Rockin’ in the Park” free summer concert series. The weekly series is
scheduled to begin Sunday, May 28. The concerts will continue on
Thursday evenings from June 1 through August 31 and feature the music of
classic cover bands, food and beverage tents on the park’s great lawn
and a musical fireworks display after every show.
All “Rockin’ in the Park” concerts will run from 7 p.m. – 10 p.m.
Admission to “Rockin’ in the Park” is free. Outside food and coolers are
prohibited. Parking is available at the MB Financial Park parking
garage and is free with validation from any of the park’s venues.
MB Financial Park will celebrate the Fourth of July with a special added “Rockin’ in the Park” concert Tuesday, July 4.

Sunday, May 28: Elton Rohn / West Side Winders
As Elton Rohn, Ron Camilleri recreates the feeling of seeing a 1970s
Elton John concert. The seven-piece band has headlined more than 100
shows including festivals across Canada and the United States.
West Side Winders
The West Side Winders are an original American rock power trio
dedicated to the sound, attitude, lifestyle and advancement of rock and
blues. The group has opened shows for many big name acts including Sammy
Hagar, Foghat, Bon Jovi, Blue Oyster Cult and others.
Thursday, June 1: Blooze Brothers –
This high-powered, choreographed 11piece show band covers music from
the 40s to today. In addition to paying homage to the original Blues
Brothers, the group also includes Motown, soul, R&B, classic rock
and swing hits in their performances.
Thursday, June 8: M&R Rush –
Having shared the stage with Styx, Survivor, Sammy Hagar, Judas Priest
and the Go Go’s, M&R Rush has rocked the Chicago area since the
1970s. Known for their vocal harmonies and unique takes on classic
covers, M&R Rush will have concertgoers rocking into the night.
Thursday, June 15: Wedding Banned – Performing
more than 100 concerts each year, this Chicago-based cover band will
surely get audiences’ hips moving with rock and dance music from the
80s, 90s and beyond. Ranked as one of the top drawing acts in the
Midwest, Wedding Banned entertains at clubs, colleges, weddings,
festivals and corporate events. The Taste of Lincoln Avenue, Belmont
Sheffield Music Fest and Retro on Roscoe are just a few of the 75 street
festivals Wedding Banned has headlined.
Thursday, June 22: Libido Funk Circus –
Originally formed as an over-the-top tribute to the disco music of the
70's, Libido Funk Circus (LFC) has been relentlessly entertaining a wide
range of audiences since 1996. While they continue to play classic
disco hits, the addition of hundreds of dance and rock songs spanning
from the 60's through today has turned LFC into a human jukebox.
Thursday, June 29: The Four C Notes –
Pioneered and headlined by John Michael Coppola of Chicago’s
long-running production of “Jersey Boys,” The Four C Notes are dedicated
to recreating the music of Frankie Valli and The Four Seasons. The
tribute concert will feature many crowd favorites including “Sherry,”
“Big Girls Don’t Cry,” “Workin’ My Way Back To You, (Babe)” and more.
Tuesday, July 4: Heartache Tonight –
From the powerful guitar duel in “Hotel California” to the shimmering
harmonies of “Peaceful Easy Feeling,” Heartache Tonight delivers a true
concert experience. With meticulous attention to every detail, this
Eagles tribute band brings together music from all eras and embodies a
rock powerhouse that produced hits for more than four decades.
Thursday, July 6: Kashmir – Bringing
the best of Led Zeppelin to their fans, Kashmir seeks to re-create the
experience of a 1970s Zeppelin show utilizing authentic stage gear,
costumes and special effects. The group performs Led Zeppelin’s entire
catalog including hits from the classic movie, “The Song Remains the

early 70s. Performing hits from the 1964 British Invasion to American

Thursday, July 20: The Rush Tribute Project –
The Rush Tribute Project (RTP) pays homage to Rush by combining skilled
musicianship with exciting performances. Covering more than 40 years of
Rush’s career, RTP recreates the sound and energy that has made Rush
one of the top selling rock bands of all time.
Thursday, July 27: Atomic Punks –
Direct from Los Angeles, Calif., this group pays tribute specifically
to the glory days of Van Halen fronted David Lee Roth. Roth himself
referred to the group as “the best tribute to Van Halen ever.” For more
than 20 years, the Atomic Punks have been re-creating Eddie Van Halen’s
classic guitar sound, while capturing all of the enthusiasm and flash
Van Halen brought to the stage.
Thursday, August 3: 52nd Street – 52nd
Street provides its audiences with a full concert experience featuring
the top hits of Billy Joel. With a baby grand piano onstage and
unmatched energy from supporting cast members, the eight-piece band from
Milwaukee offers authentic performances of the songs that made the
“Piano Man” from Brooklyn one of the top-selling and most beloved
artists of all time.
Thursday, August 10: American English – This
Beatles tribute show was voted “number one” by thousands of Beatles
fans. The group has won sound-a-like contests at Beatlefest® for three
consecutive years, along with Illinois Entertainer of the Year. American
English has shared the stage with musical headliners such as The
Grassroots, The Neville Brothers, Three Dog Night, The Ides of March,
Eric Burdon, The Buckinghams, The Doobie Brothers, Badfinger and Gary
Senise's Lieutenant Dan Band, among others.
Thursday, August 17: Slippery When Wet – Direct
from Atlanta, Ga., Slippery When Wet performs the exact live
arrangements from Bon Jovi’s 2000 “Crush” tour, 2002 “Bounce” tour, 2005
“Have a Nice Day” tour, 2008 “Lost Highway” tour and 2010 “The Circle”
tour. This band’s drive, musical ability and showmanship strive to
duplicate the live Bon Jovi experience.
Thursday, August 24: Think Floyd – Think
Floyd is a celebration of the music of Pink Floyd. Covering music from
“The Piper at the Gates of Dawn” through “The Division Bell,” Think
Floyd presents a fresh, exciting, pure rock approach to the music of
