Rahm Emanuel and DCASE have designated 2017 the "Year of Public Art,"
which includes a collaborative marketing campaign to promote confirmed
public ar related events, programs and exhibitions that are happening in
2017. Partner events will be listed on the Year of Public art webpage,
and a select number of activities will be highlighted in our July-
December brochure and our bi-monthly newsletter. Submit your event
information along with a high resolution image with the form posted on cityofchicago.org/yopa.

Application Deadline is May 15 Is your organization producing a public art project, program or exhibition the summer in honor of the Year of Public Art. Could you use some extra help to get the job done? Apply to host a Public Art Youth Corps
intern through Mayor Emanuel's One Summer Chicago Program. Youth
Interns may fulfill a variety of duties including administrative support
tasks as well as work directly with artists fabricating and installing

Join local music industry professionals and working musicians for FREE series of networking events
that combine a panel discussion on an industry topic and a showcase
performance by several local artists. For this panel in collaboration
with 360 Nation, W.D. Floyd will lead a conversation on "The State of
the Music Industry in the Inner City." Panelists include Kevin Ross, the
CEO of Twoguard Media Group; emcee and radio personality Teefa; and
Ephraim M. Martin, founder of the Chicago Music Awards, the
International Reggae and World Music Awards and the International
Festival of Life.
