Celebrate
St. Patrick’s Day at Tortoise Supper Club
Chicago
is a city that loves tradition – especially one that centers on celebration! One of the Windy City’s liveliest traditions
is the annual St. Patrick’s Day Parade.
Whether you’re heading downtown to participate in the festivities or you
just want to catch a glimpse of the Chicago River dyed green, Tortoise Supper
Club (TSC) is the perfect destination for a post-parade bite and beverage.
Ideally
situated next to the Chicago River on State St., TSC is owned by two lifelong
Chicagoans whose love and appreciation for this city run deep. The restaurant’s décor is punctuated with
pieces of Chicago history and family heirlooms from owners Keene and Megan
Addington. Each piece of memorabilia
tells a story, whether derived from the Addington’s own family archives, or a colorful
character's fascinating Chicago connection.
This
Saturday, March 11th TSC will be opening its doors early (at 12:00
noon) in honor of the holiday. Guests
can enjoy Corned Beef Sandwiches served with Rosemary Frites ($12,) Beef Barley
Soup made with Irish Stout, Pearl Onions and Bacon ($6.95,) and Guinness Cans
($7.)
These St.
Patrick’s Day specials will also be available on Saturday, March 17th.
