announce the 2017 CityArts Program grants program, providing general
operating support to Chicago-based, arts and culture-focused, non-profit

The Year of Public Art
Mayor Rahm Emanuel and
the Chicago Department of Cultural Affairs and Special Events (DCASE)
have designated 2017 the Year of Public Art with a new 50x50
Neighborhood Arts Project, the creation of a Public Art Youth Corps, a
new Public Art Festival, exhibitions, performances, tours and more -
representing a $1.5 million investment in artist-led community projects.

Book, One Chicago! Whether you're an entrepreneur or just a curious
resident, this workshop explores the history and growth of local markets
in Chicago - and offers simple tools, training and tips to start your
Chicago-based artists and
organizations are invited to submit proposals to participate in the
2017 season of Night Out In the Parks. Supported by the City of Chicago
and the Department of Cultural Affairs and Special Events, the Chicago
Park District's Night Out in the Parks annually brings more than 1,000
community-building activities and neighborhood-based cultural events to
parks across Chicago. Eligible arts organizations and artists can apply at www.nightoutintheparks.com. Non-profit status is not a requirement for interested participants.
