Chicago Department of Cultural Affairs and Special Events>News & Events April 2016
Internationally recognized for his elaborately crafted paintings, ornate
sculptures and site-specific installations that incorporate social
practice, Carlos Rolón/Dzine returns home for his first Chicago solo
exhibition in 12 years with some of his most personal work to date.
Join local music industry professionals and
working musicians for a monthly networking series at locations
throughout the city. Each event combines a panel discussion on an
industry topic and a showcase performance by several local artists. The
first event is April 27 at 6:30pm at the Chicago Cultural Center.
If you create, perform or produce... you're in. Join us for the 2nd annual Lake FX Summit + Expo
- the Midwest's largest FREE convening of artists and creative
entrepreneurs. More than 100 talks, panels and workshops - on topics
ranging from making to marketing - will be presented by industry experts
for those working in the culinary, fashion, film and media, music, performing arts, technology and design and visual arts
fields. Connect with fellow industry creatives, find career resources
at the Expo, shop the local artisan Marketplace and enjoy the Music
(Full schedule available mid-April.)
