ROOTS-ROCK LEGEND LUCINDA WILLIAMS TO PERFORM AT TASTE OF CHICAGO

Chicago’s own Jeff Tweedy will headline the evening. The concert is presented by 93XRT.

WHO: Roots-rock legend, Lucinda Williams will ignite the Petrillo Music Shell on Saturday, July 12 with her heartland soul. As a Grammy®-Award winning singer/songwriter, Williams has had a career filled with critically-acclaimed, award-winning albums, including Lucinda Williams (1988), Sweet Old World (1992), Car Wheels On A Gravel Road (1998), Essence (2001). World Without Tears (2003) and Blessed (2011). There is much more to come, as a new Lucinda Williams studio album will be released mid-2014.
The 34th Annual Taste of Chicago is July 9-13 in Grant Park and it opens weekdays at 11 a.m. and 10 a.m. on the weekend. Tickets for the concert seating area at Petrillo and the Lipton Pure Leaf Chef du Jour go on sale May 22 at 10am.
