Forget the Passport and Go Domestic Lake Geneva Bridal Showcase (WI)

Forget the Passport and Go Domestic
Lake Geneva Bridal Showcase
September 29 at Riviera Docks, Downtown
Wedding planners and brides and grooms to be seeking a Midwest destination wedding will step aboard six beautiful yachts of the Lake Geneva Cruise Line docked at the Riviera docks in downtown Lake Geneva to experience the beauty and romance the area offers to create wedding events that last a lifetime. The complimentary Lake Geneva Bridal Showcase, held on September 29 from 10:00 a.m. to 1:00 p.m., provides wedding planners, brides and grooms an opportunity to see yachts decorated by top wedding professionals, sip champagne, sample wedding cakes, see bridal wear, hold flowers, hear music, meet venue representatives and photographers, register for prizes, and more.
Responding to the growing popularity of domestic destination weddings, this show demonstrates that Lake Geneva is a one-stop-shop for everything needed to plan very special wedding events. Approximately 25 percent of destination weddings take place annually with 70 percent of them held in the United States, according to the 2012 Destination Weddings study.
The Bridal Showcase will make planning a Lake Geneva destination wedding easy. Passports are not needed for wedding events in this four-season resort and recreation area and Lake Geneva is easily accessed from Chicago and Milwaukee—only 10 miles north of the Illinois state line and only an hour drive from Milwaukee. About Lake Geneva
Nestled on the northeastern shores of Geneva Lake in southeast Wisconsin, Lake Geneva has been a resort community since just after the Civil War when wealthy Chicago families discovered the site and began building summer homes there. Today, the elegant, often historic estates still ring the lake and can be viewed from the water or by foot via the 21-mile walking path that circles the lake.
Lake Geneva boasts a wealth of dining options and lodging choices with the latter ranging from luxury spa resorts to rustic inns to lovely B&B’s. The area also offers pristine nature areas and a wealth of attractions.
