Fashion Fitting Goes High Tech at Water Tower Mall on March 16

Fashion Fitting Goes High Tech at Water Tower Mall in Chicago on March 16,2012

Exclusive preview shows how Me-Ality™ will change the way people shop for clothes
Shoppers at Water Tower Mall in Chicago will experience first-hand the fitting room of the future when Me-Ality™—Measured Reality celebrates its official launch throughout the day on Friday, March 16th. Demonstrations will take place at Noon and 4 p.m. Me-Ality™--Measured Reality’s Size Matching Experts will be on hand to demonstrate how innovative sizing technology works, and how it takes the guess work out of finding your best apparel brands. Guests will be treated to complimentary refreshments and entered into a free drawing for a $50 gift certificate. The event is free and open to the public. For more information, please visit www.me-ality.com

.

Me-Ality™ size-matching station is offering a revolutionary new technology that enables consumers to find their best fit, with its free, fully-clothed, 10-second body scan. In addition to Water Tower Mall in Chicago, Me-Ality™ size-matching stations are currently in operation at North Brook Court Mall in North Brook and Orland Square Mall in Orland Park. Developed by Unique Solutions, Ltd., Me-Ality™ size-matching stations will begin a widespread rollout at shopping centers across the US beginning this month. For more information, please visit www.me-ality.com.

“We are so excited to give shoppers the opportunity to preview the fitting room of the future at some of the most innovative shopping malls in Illinois,” said Tanya Shaw, President and CEO of Me-Ality™. “Right now we are in the preview phase of our launch, which means we’re able to match people with a range of denim and pants styles. We’ll be expanding to cover all clothing in the very near future.”

Because there is no sizing standard for clothing manufacturers, shoppers typically purchase different sizes depending on the brand. That's why most people have two or three different sizes in their closet, if not more. Me-Ality™ solves this problem by helping shoppers find what fits best, eliminating the guesswork and frustration associated with shopping for clothes.

The Me-Ality™ size-matching stations sends and receives safe, low-power radio waves and records 200,000 data points by bouncing these signals off the skin of a fully clothed consumer. Me-Ality™ then compares body measurements to garment sizing specifications.

The free Me-Ality™ scan identifies the fit, style, design and cut that best match an individual’s measurements. The process, which takes just 10 minutes to produce a personalized shopping guide of denim and pants, recommends the best sizes to buy and where to purchase the items at the mall.

Then by creating a Me-Ality™ online profile, shoppers can benefit from: free updated shopping guides as new brands, styles and sizes are added; easier online shopping, and other style choices that are available online or at other retailer locations.

Me-Ality™ size-matching stations are expanding across the country this year with additional locations in the Atlanta area, followed by size-matching stations openings in major malls in cities such as Dallas, Phoenix, Chicago, New Jersey, New York, Boston and Southern California. Over the next two-plus years, Me-Ality™ kiosks will be in over 300 malls across the United States.

About Me-Ality™
Me-Ality™ is a revolutionary new technology which enables consumers to find their best fit, with its free, fully-clothed, 10-second body scan. In just minutes, shoppers receive a personalized shopping guide recommending styles that fit them best, what size to buy and where to purchase the items. Me-Ality™ is owned by Unique Solutions Design Ltd., a leader in revolutionizing personalized shopping since 1994. For more information about our technology and services, visit www.me-ality.com.

Building our Future:
Piven Gala 2012
Hello from Piven Theatre Workshop!

In just over three months, Piven will hold its annual gala.  This year we are holding it at the Noyes Cultural Arts Center in Evanston - our artistic home - On Saturday, June 23.

We are doing it this way, this year, because we are celebrating our commitment to Evanston and we want to celebrate this with you.

On this night we raise about 1/5 of our annual operating budget It is a critical night for us so we can continue:
  • Providing support for our scholarship funds
  • Funding our PEEP classes which work with adults with developmental disabilities
  • Funding our Young People's and Performance Project companies
  • Funding our outreach efforts off-site with schools and organizations working with underserved students
  • Supporting our work of providing excellent arts training and theatre to our community
We need your help to make this a huge success.  Below are ways in which you can help Piven leading up to this night.  Please consider how you may contribute to this incredible event!
Sponsorships

Something new this year:  This year we are offering a "Come and Play" ticket level.  For $250, one adult can come and enjoy the gala with one child (9+) who will have their own party with kid-friendly refreshments and a two hour improvisation and story theatre workshop during the gala!
