The Chicago Center for the Performing Arts and JCW Productions present:
I'M SPIRITUAL, DAMMIT
(Climbing the Mountain of Enlightenment With a Martini in One Hand, and My Pumps in the Other...)
Starring Jenniffer Weigel, based on her book "Stay Tuned"
Directed by Scott Cummins
Chicago broadcaster and author Jenniffer Weigel brings her memoir Stay Tuned: conversations With Dad From the Other Side to the stage this summer. Under the direction of Scott Cummins, I’m Spiritual, Dammit!... is a continuation of Jen’s humorous, irreverent, and often poignant exploration of all things spiritual. From her encounters with spiritually attuned celebrities, to her interviews with renowned psychics and mediums, to her struggle to come to terms with the death of her father, Chicago sports casting legend Tim Weigel, Jen is on a mission to find the answer to one of life’s most burning questions: “What happens when we dies?”
“I thought that writing and releasing a book was the end of a journey, but it turns out that was just the beginning,” explains Jenniffer. “I don’t want to spoil the ending of the show for anybody, but lets just say that I’m finding that the life and death are kind of the same: they’re just on different channels, so stay tuned.”
Her one woman show re-opens at The Chicago Center for the performing Arts on April 18th!
