Judy Collins performance and signing at Borders Books in Chicago Illinois

Judy Collins Signing and Discussion for 'Sings Lennon and McCarthy 'and the forthcoming CD Born to Breed: A Tribute to Judy Collins.
She still has an amazing voice and very few people have voices trained enough where they can just break out in song with no accompaniment and be completely on key and true to record.Back in the day, Judy was the inspiration for the Crosby, Stills and Nash song, "Suite Judy Blue Eyes" written by her then boyfriend Stephen Stills. According to Wikipedia, the song was also the start of the band as well! Judy has some very interesting stories about her life. Some tragic moments she still deals with as well as her famous friends and the early days of the popular folk music movement and time she spent in Chicago. I love how she refers to her first husband as her, 'Starter husband.'
The event was at Borders Books on State Street in Chicago Illinois.

Omarosa in town promoting her new book. I lived to tell about it!

Omarosa, once upon a time from the tv show, "The Apprentice" had a discussion and signing for her new book,'The Bitch Switch: Knowing How to Turn It on and Off' at Borders on Michigan Avenue. She was quite funny and she wasn't bitchy at all! Wish I could have stayed longer but I had another shoot at the same time.

The other day, one of my best friends and I were having a lengthy discussion on bitchy women in power and how we loathe them.I've known so many of them. Unfortunately...

Omarosa Stallworth wrote a book on the subject and I think some of the Bitches I've known and loved(oh I kid..) really should be putting this on their 'Borders Books' wish list so they will know when to turn it off!

Omarosa, I know you are going to log in and read this. I hope you got my message from 'Harold' at the store on us media creatures jumping into a cab and ending up at the wrong theatre for Robert Davi. ' Hope you got it in time!

Linda :-)

Isaac Mizrahi had a really long booksigning at Borders Books in Chicago

Isaac Mizrahi discussed and signed his new book 'How To Have Style' at Borders Books on Michigan Avenue in Chicago Illinois. Many people lined up, stepped up to the microphone and asked the charismatic designer questions.I usually don't end up staying long when designers speak because sometimes they ramble on letting their egos and aloofness take center stage.
Mizrahi is an engaging speaker and I stayed for the whole event. I think he should be doing stand up comedy on the side or at least a good slot on a sitcom.
As far as some of the women and the questions they asked, I kind of wondered if some thought they were in a psychotherapy session with the questions they asked!
One woman brought her 12 year old raincoat she purchased at Bergdorf Goodman in New York and coerced him into having his company replace the lining. Smart people don't say no in a room full of people with a video camera rolling. He graciously instructed her to give it to his assistant and they'd take care of it.

Fashion advice from Isaac:
Fashion is 70% confidence and 30% accessories.
Tonights event was filmed and will probably be posted on his website.
