Former Destiny's Child member Michelle Williams rocked the Apple Store on north Michigan Avenue(Chicago,Illinois) that had her legions of fans feeling like they just stopped by to pay homage to the Queen who also happens to be their new best friend..An odd mix,but this lady handles her throngs of fans with such style and grace, she' made it into my top 10 list of "the Best to cover!"
She put on a short well honed mini concert courtesy of Apple itunes piped over mega-watt speakers and accompanied by her two energetic dancers.
Oh yeah, no band, just iTunes which makes you forget that no band was on stage!
Dressed in sexy black BCBG from top to bottom and sporting a new sleek angled haircut, she belted out old and new favorites. She is a fan of Apple Computer products and looking forward to getting an iPhone .
Post performance she signed Apple iTunes cards for fans, posed for photos and doled out unconditional hugs.
Her last two solo release albums were gospel but the new album goes in a new
direction and will be released August 12, 2008.
Michelle was nominated for a NAACP Theater Award in the category of Lead female for her role as Suge Avery in "The Color Purple."
The 18th NAACP Theater Awards will be handed out at the Kodak Theater in LA on June 30th.
