Shout! The Mod Musical opens at Drury Lane until June 22,2008!

Tonight was the opening night of the groovilicious Chicago premiere of SHOUT! THE MOD MUSICAL. SHOUT! is a fast-paced journey through the infectious and soulful pop anthems and ballads that made household names of stars like Petula Clark, Dusty Springfield and Lulu. The Chicago cast of SHOUT! includes Lauren Fijol (Blue Girl), Megan Long (Red Girl), Danielle Plisz (Green Girl), Maggie Portman (Yellow Girl), Amy Steele (Orange Girl).

What's good is this is a fun musical blast to the past in what seemed like at the time-- a fun carefree era-especially if you were young. The music was happier.Well, most of it,unless you consider all the tragedy car/motorcycle crash songs
which are not part of this revue luckily. Clothes were bright and in glow in the dark colors, they had paper dresses, vinyl go-go boots, big hair. After all,the year,1963 of which some of the music originated is the same year that gave us our first glimpse of the big yellow,'Smiley Face' created by artist Harvey Bell.
What's bad..at least for me..I knew all the words to the songs!

Shout! The Mod Musical runs until June 22,2008!
Get your tickets while you can!
