Robert Redford walks the Green carpet at AMC River East Theatre and gives us the world :-)

Film director and actor, Robert Redford, attended the Chicago premiere of his film, ‚'Lions for Lambs,‚'one of the falls most anticipated feature film releases. The event benefited the Natural Resources Defense Council (NRDC), a national non-profit environmental organization that has recently brought its aggressive environmental advocacy to the Midwest .

Redford, an NRDC trustee for more than 30 years, walked down the premiere’s “green” carpet, alongside Mayor Richard M. Daley and wife Maggie and other prominent local figures from sports, business, and cultural affairs. He also paid tribute to NRDC, one of the country’s most innovative and effective environmental organizations, which opened its Midwest office in Chicago in January 2007.

The new office already has scored a number of victories against pollution and invasive species in Lake Michigan, and has beaten back legislation in Illinois that would have made it harder to protect local communities against emissions from oil refineries and coal-fired power plants.

Redford’s film, “Lions for Lambs,” opens this Friday and is already receiving praise as a powerful and gripping story that pulls back the curtain on politics, news and a nation divided to explore the human consequences of a complicated war.

'Fred Claus' red carpet arrivals at AMC River East Theatre

Vince Vaughn arrives at the Chicago premiere of the movie, 'Fred Claus' at the AMC River East.

'Freed Claus' co-star John Michael Higgins

Bill Rancic, Kim Coles and Ereka Vetrini of iVillage 'In the Loop' arrive.

Fred Claus (Vince Vaughn) has lived his entire life in his brother’s very large shadow. Fred tried, but could hardly live up to the example set by the younger Nicholas (Paul Giamatti), who was just a perfect...well...saint. True to form, Nicholas grew up to be the model of giving, while Fred became the polar opposite: a fast-talking repo man who’s run out of luck and money. Over Mrs. Claus’ objections, Nicholas agrees to help his brother on one condition: that he come to the North Pole and earn the money he needs by working in Santa’s workshop. The trouble is that Fred isn’t exactly elf material and, with Christmas fast approaching, Fred could jeopardize the jolliest holiday of the year.

FRED CLAUS opens nationwide on Friday, November 9

Astrologer Susan Miller wows the crowd at The Apple Store

Wildly popular New York based astrologer and author Susan Miller made an appearance at the Apple Store discussing her site astrolgyzone.com site and the TimePassages astrology software.
She did readings for a few audience members and made a few celebrity predictions as well. She said that while Brad Pitt and Angelina Jolie will probably have a bio-child within a year,Brad's ex Jennifer Aniston will probably not have a relationship(at least a good one ?) until 2009. She also shocked the audience with a revelation that a popular male actor may not be straight. I'm not going to mention that here because he knows who he is and we have mutual friends!

Miller talked for about 2 hours and unfortunately Apple had not received the shipment of software to sell!
