McCormick and Schmick's celebrated the start of Wild Salmon Season with an evening of “Wine, Salmon and Song!” for VIPS at the Wacker Drive location.

When I go to the Big grocery store with the short little name and pick up Salmon, the label alway says nothing more than 'Farm raised salmon.' Actually farm raised is not supposed to be that good for you. Only the 'wild' salmon has the health benefits.

I thought Salmon was just salmon until I covered this event tonight I learned of the FIVE Wild Salmon species and feasted on them all!
King Salmon,Sockeye Salmon,Coho Salmon,Pink Salmon and Keta Salmon all cooked to perfection by the hard working chefs at McCormick and Schmick's led by Executive Chef Michael Sullivan.

Local V.I.P.'s sampled some of the first wild salmon of the season,
paired with award-winning wines from the Northwest’s Willamette Valley Vineyards.

The Les Getrex Band from New Orleans performed for the evening as the'Sockeye Sam 'N The Fins' Band.

The giant carved ice salmon greeted guests and glistened in the sunset and reflections of this great people watching cityscape which gives a great view of Chicago's most famous buildings and the construction progress of Trump International Hotel & Tower.
